DATA AND METHODOLOGY

Data and methodology

This page explains where the figures on Bankacı and KrediBul come from and when they change. None of them is a bank's offer.

Updated: 6 October 2026

Rates the banks publish

Every Monday at 06:30 we read the banks' own product, campaign and fee pages, and try failed pages again at 06:50. The rate comes from a sentence on the page, a representative example, the fee schedule or the bank's own calculator. A language model reads the page and keeps a rate only together with the sentence it came from. A "from" rate is shown as one. A rate under 60% or over 160% of the users' average stays off the page and is flagged to the team. Expired campaigns are dropped. A reading counts as current for at most 8 days; when a bank stops publishing a product, its last reading stays on the bank's page with its date. Each row shows its source and read date. History is kept for 400 days.

Rates users enter

The averages are the mean monthly rate Bankacı users typed into their own calculations, in the app and on the web, over the last 7 days. The arrow compares them with the 7 days before. The "Personal / vehicle loan" row comes from the app's loan type of the same name. A row needs calculations from at least 10 different devices. Only a one-way hash of the ID Bankacı gives the device is kept, with no name, email or account. Amounts and terms appear only as ranges. It is not a market average but the rate people calculate with.

Legal limits

Maximum terms and loan-to-value ratios come from the BDDK Board decisions themselves: personal loans 11152 (13.02.2025), vehicles 10099 (21.02.2022), domestic electric vehicles 11158 (06.03.2025), housing 11364 (29.01.2026). We show no maximum term for housing loans, as we have not read it at source. We check BDDK's decision list every morning at 07:20. A new decision goes to the team, and the figures change once someone has read it. A used car's value comes from the TSB kasko list, checked every morning at 07:40. TCMB sets the overdraft (KMH) and credit card rate ceilings each month, and we read them at most every 12 hours.

Estimate boxes

The box on the loan pages uses the users' 7-day average for the product and shows nothing without one. It prices the standard fixed-instalment plan with the first instalment a month out, and the total is the instalment times the term. It includes 15% KKDF and 15% BSMV on personal and vehicle loans and 5% BSMV on business loans. Housing loans carry neither. Fees and insurance are left out. The box on a bank's page uses the lowest monthly rate that bank publishes for the product, with the same taxes as the loan pages' box.

When it is updated

Bank rates are read on Monday morning and the weekly rates email goes out at 09:00. Users' averages are recalculated hourly, the BDDK and TSB lists are checked daily, and the site fetches the data again at least hourly.

If you see a mistake

Write to info@bankaci.app with the page address. We fix the source and read it again without waiting for Monday.
