YIELD
Term deposit calculations
What matters to a depositor is not the gross rate but what is left at maturity. Withholding tax is the difference between the two.

From gross to net
Interest runs on the principal over the days of the term. Withholding tax comes off the gross interest and the net yield is what remains. Bankacı shows all three, because the figure quoted to a customer is usually the gross rate.
The tax rate follows the term
On Turkish lira term deposits the withholding rate varies with the length of the term and is lower on longer terms. Bankacı leaves the rate editable, because these rates are changed by regulation.
Open to everyone
The deposit calculator is not for bankers only: in the app it is free for anyone, with no account and no Premium. A customer weighing up a term deposit can run the same numbers themselves.
Frequently asked
Do I need an account or Premium to calculate a deposit?
No. The deposit calculator in the app is open to everyone and free; it works without signing in.
Can I change the withholding rate?
Yes. The default is the prevailing rate, but the field is open — you do not have to wait for an app update when regulation moves.
Is compounding included?
The calculation gives the yield at maturity. For the compound effect of rollovers, repeat the calculation with the new principal.
